Reducing Electrosmog Exposure

Electrosmog is the mixture of artificially produced electromagnetic fields generated by various devices and systems, including electricity lines, mobile phones, and Wi-Fi routers.

While conventional medicine is still debating it's potential health effects, those of us trained in environmental medicine are already counseling our patients and clients on how to start reducing exposure. Here are some of the things I recommend considering:
To reduce electrosmog exposure:Â
Avoid using air pods and other Bluetooth devices in your ears and on your body.Â
Try to use your phone's speaker or download meditations rather than using air pods.Â
Turn your phone on airplane mode and store either away from you, or ideally, outside of your bedroom.Â
Consider turning off wifi overnight, or at least for 6-8 hours.Â
Avoid using electronic devices when they are plugged in.Â
Avoid wearing or using wifi connected devices directly in your pocket or on lap as much as possible.Â
Try to talk on speak and hold your phone away from your head as much as possible.Â
Were any of these surprising for you? Do you feel like these changes may be important for your health? Why or why not? I would be curious to hear if you do these things if you notice any differences in your energy levels, or sleep patterns.
